Known around the world for its natural wonders, Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve is home to more than 16 glaciers. Marine mammals are plentiful, including whales, seals, porpoise and birds. Calving glaciers give a spectacular show as huge chunks of blue ice thunder into the water.

Glacier Bay is accessible only by air or by sea. The town of Gustavus, at the entrance to Glacier Bay, is approximately 50 miles northwest of Juneau and is served by both passenger jet and regional air service. Lodging is available at Gustavus and Bartlett cove.

Travel options include scheduled and charter air services, cruise ships and charter boats.
