Skagway does have ocean sport fishing rentals with guides available.  King Salmon and Tom Cods are the most prevalent.  Fresh water fishing (lake and rainbow trout) is found outside of town to our north.  The most popular sites are in the panhandle of British Columbia on Tutshi (two-shy) or Tagish Lakes.  That would be 35 miles north of town.  At the moment there aren’t any fresh water guides in town.  Fishing licenses for Canada and Alaska are available at the Skagway Hardware store at 4th and Broadway downtown.  You can also purchase them from your salt water fishing guides/boats.
