Whitehorse manages to combine the feeling of a small town with the amenities of a big city. The city's shopping district is centered around Main Street and consists of an assortment of unique shops. Sit on a patio and enjoy a coffee made of beans roasted right here in Whitehorse. Park the car using a free visitor's parking pass (available at city hall) and enjoy a nice walk. Pick up a late-night book or stock up on fishing supplies.

In the warm summer months the streets come alive with street performers and artists. Whitehorse is full of creative people, artists and crafts people abound, visit any of our local galleries or Artists Coops, studio visits can be arranged.

There is no shortage of great restaurants in Whitehorse. Visitors are always surprised by the variety. Have a plate of caribou stew, or a sushi lunch made with fresh fish. Try some Yukon made fudge, or drink a crisp Yukon beer in one of Whitehorse's many fine establishments.
