Shopping

Downtown Skagway is 7 blocks long and 2 blocks wide. From First Avenue to Seventh on Broadway you can find at least three hundred thousand gift ideas for friends and family. A broad spectrum awaits you. From polar bear key chains to intricately carved ivory pieces and most points in between, Skagway satisfies. Over a hundred businesses strive to make your Alaskan shopping experience a memorable one.

Local sculptors, carvers, beadists, photographers; you’ll find them and their wares at many of our stores. Artists from the Yukon Territory, northern British Columbia and Alaska are well represented here. Visit the Skagway Brewing Company (aka Brewco) for a local medal winning brew or enjoy an Alaskan Amber at the notorious Red Onion Saloon (RO). Start your shopping at the RO at 2nd and Broadway and end up at the Brewco on 7th. Of course if you want to, there’s another nice pub called the Bonanza in between those two establishments making your shopping efforts, “thirst” free.

So the long and short of it is this: Chances are you’ll find what you want in our little town. For more pubs and eateries go to our web site.
