Haines Climate
Haines is the sunny spot of Southeast Alaska. Local weather is difficult to predict with the influence of coastal climate, dry and clear air from the north, and warm and moist air from the south. Whether one is out on the water or in a bus, we have the rule of thumb: “dress like an onion” - in other words, “dress in layers.”
