January
New Years Day – Polar Bear Swim: Action takes place at Shoemaker Bay Park and the strong at heart immerse themselves for one minute in the icy waters of the Inside Passage. Food, fire and fun is had by all.

February (First Weekend)
Tent City Festival: Annual Celebration of the Gold Rush days in Wrangell and on the Stikine River. Contests, Tent City theatrical performances, Fashion show, fancy dress ball and Closest to the Pin Annual Muskeg Meadows Golf Tournament.

April (Third Week)
Garnet Festival: Celebrate Spring With Eagles. Week long celebration of spring in Wrangell and annual spring Eagle migration on the Stikine River (largest spring concentration). Includes Southeast Alaska Art Festival, golf tournament, fish fry, workshops and speakers.
 

May (First Weekend in May)
Muskeg Meadows Annual Membership Golf Tournament: Three day golf tournament to officially open the golfing season. Lots of prizes and fun. Golf Club Membership meeting and dinner.

Mid May - Mid June
Annual King Salmon Fishing Derby: A month long competition for the biggest King Salmon caught in Wrangell waters. Over $30,000 in cash and prizes available to the winner and runners up. $20,000 to the lucky fisherman that catches the Tagged Salmon. Special competitions held during the month to add to the frenzy!

July 2-4
Fourth of July Celebration: Best 3 day celebration in Alaska! Includes kids races of all kinds, scrapfish derby, sporting events, talent show, tall tales competition, parade, traditional logging show, Coronation Ball, a street dance and fireworks extravaganza, the most outstanding fireworks display in Alaska.

October (late)
Harvest Festival: Friday evening set aside for holiday shopping and downtown festivities.

December (First Friday) Festival of Lights (December 2, 2005): Tree lighting and Christmas Celebration.
